Kenneth Bayne
July 12, 1933 - October 24, 2021 (Age 88)
Mr. Kenneth Neal Bayne, age 88, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at the Fort Mill Church of the Nazarene. The Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. Josh Fite and the Rev. P.J. Stocks officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park on Cherry Road in Rock Hill.
Born in Fort Mill, Mr. Bayne was a son of the late Grady Marvin Bayne and Bettie Jones Bayne. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was member of the American Legion Post 43. Mr. Bayne was employed with the Fort Mill Telephone Company, later Comporium, where he served for 63 years. He was an artist and painter, a song writer, and a gardener. Mr. Bayne loved his family and was a huge Clemson fan.
He is survived two children, Keith Bayne (Lauren Feeney) of Marshville, N.C. and Beth Bayne Croft (Johnny) of Fort Mill; four grandchildren, Erica Floyd (Taft), Travis Bayne, Caitlin Croft and Hope Feeney; and three great-grandchildren, Dalton, Braelyn and Faron Floyd. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Bayne (2016); and two siblings, Nellie Talbert and Cecil Bayne.
