Kenneth P. Finucan, 81, of Lexington, Kentucky, formerly of Manor, Pennsylvania, died Friday, October 28, 2022, at the VA Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born November 3, 1940, in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of the late Charles and Irene Tancek Finucan. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Richard Finucan. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 46 years, Maureen Murphy Finucan; three sons: Patrick (Laura) Finucan, of Centreville, VA, Brian Finucan, of Houston, TX, and Kenneth Finucan, Jr., of Coral Springs, FL; two daughters: Catherine (Joseph) DiMarco, of Lexington, KY, and Kimberly Parry, of Boca Raton, FL; five grandchildren; dear brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Upon graduation from Oliver High School, in Pittsburgh, Ken joined the Army, where he earned a Merit Award for sharpshooting. He was a Manor Borough volunteer fireman and a member of the American Legion. He graduated from Allegheny College and, prior to retirement, was an inspector for Robertshaw Controls and Wabtec. Ken loved to play golf and was a member of the Robertshaw Golf Club, in Greensburg, PA, and the Lexington Senior Golf League. He also enjoyed playing euchre at the Lexington Senior Center. He was an avid Steelers, Univ. of Pittsburgh, and Univ. of Kentucky sports fan. He almost never missed a game. Ken was a former member of the Board of Directors of the Stanwood Area Federal Credit Union, St. Barbara’s Catholic Church in Harrison City, PA, Cathedral of Christ the King in Lexington, St. Joseph’s Polish Club in Westmoreland City, PA, and the Penn Trafford Band Parents Association. There will be no public visitation or service. Private interment will be in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg, PA.
