Kenneth L. Miller, Sr.

Kenneth L. Miller, Sr., 85, of Irwin, died Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at home. He was born September 01, 1937, in Arona, a son of the late Lawrence and Violet Buzzard Miller. Ken was a retired land surveyor for Fayette Engineering. He was a former member of the Shidle Lodge #601 of the Order of the Masons in Irwin, the Italian Miner's Club of Hahntown and the Wendel-Herminie Athletic Assoc. and the Irwin Moose. He was also a former coach for NCAA football and baseball in the 1970's in Irwin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Rain Miller in 2021, and his brother, Carl Miller. He is survived by his three children, Pamela Baker of Greensburg, Kenneth L. Miller, Jr. and Douglas Miller (Sandra) all of Irwin; four granddaughters, Vanessa Schuler (Cedric), Monica Miller, Nadine Perry (Joshua) and Kalie Polansky (Luke); seven great grandchildren; sister, Mary Ann Brown of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Ken, Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 805 Pennsylvania Ave, Irwin, 724 863-8900. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:00 am in the Ott Funeral Home, Inc. Chapel with Pastor Bruce Judy officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg
