Kenneth Rovesti

With great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Ken Rovesti of Monroeville, on June 19, 2026. Ken was the son of the late John “Skip” and Wanda (Painter) Rovesti. He joins his late brother, J. Randy (Debbie) Rovesti in eternal rest with the Lord Ken is survived and loved talking sports with his uncle Dwain “Butch” (Cathy) Painter. Also survived by Aunt Pepper (Lynn) Hoffman. Ken will be dearly remembered by his sister, Lori (Joe) Gulaskey, and will be sadly missed by many cousins including Jacquie Stephenson (who now has custody of Ken’s dog Buster) and Larry Stephenson. Ken has nieces and nephews who fondly remember him “Uncle Smith” and will miss his humor greatly- Kevin(Kristin) Adipotti, Randy (Jesse) Rovesti, Kelly (Mike) Arbogast, Jodee (Graham) Stevens, Chelsey (Nate) Rovesti & Joseph (Elizabeth) Gulaskey. And he was always eager to hear of their children’s sporting games.
Ken was born with cerebral palsy, and his life was not easy. He was blessed by a big smile and a big, generous heart. Ken was a Gateway High School and Penn State Graduate. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler, Penguin & Pirates fan as well as a Penn State Football fan. His humorous personality and adventures led him to be blessed with great friends. Thanks to Jim & Joyce, Greg & Sharon, Frank, Bill, Jack and Joe, whose friendships lasted decades! Also, special thanks to his special angel Peggy, who visited him regularly.
Ken worked most of his career in the finance department of WABCO (now Wabtec) until he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2019. He never let his disability keep him from doing his job, but cancer forced him into retirement.
Special thanks to the care and support that he received from Harmony Physical Rehabilitation. The staff there was so caring and he considered many of them his friends.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the GENE H. CORL FUNERAL CHAPEL INC.
