Kristina A. Dodge, age 56, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026. She was born on April 18, 1970 in Columbus, OH.
Tina is preceded in death by her son, AJ Caldwell. As well as her loving aunt, Brenda Ferrell. She is survived by her daughter, Shelby Caldwell-Vissman, her son-in-law, Thomas Vissman, her loving partner of over 25 years, Jeff Walker, her sisters Angelina Moritz & Dee Tillsley, and many friends who love her dearly.
Tina loved cooking, and could be found watching her favorite shows like Downton Abbey, The Crown, or any cooking show. She loved to listen to music by Fleetwood Mac, Cyndi Lauper, Kid Rock, and Foreigner. She loved to sing the Perfect duet with her son which was originally performed by Ed Sheeran and Beyonce. She loved the water— if there was a lake or ocean then she was there! Especially if there was an opportunity to go tanning! She also loved the mountains which she frequented in her younger years.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and selflessness as she would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need. A trait she passed on to her children. She made an impact on anyone she met through her decades of waitressing which she had a passion for. She believed food made people happy and she loved what she did. Over the years she worked at Shoney’s in East Charlotte, Skyland Family Restaurant in South Charlotte and Steak N’ Shake in South Charlotte. In the end, her goal was to be reunited with her son and the family finds peace in the fact that she has. May they blast their favorite songs and dance in the sky forever more, free of all pain and worry.
A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Charlotte, NC 28227. She will be interred with her son.
