Lanny Dale Gross

Lanny Dale Gross, 67, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Genesis Hospice Morrison House surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 31, 1957, in Chillicothe, to the late Delbert C. and Jeanette Blanton Gross. He was a 1975 graduate of Beavercreek High School and attended Ohio University. He was a video specialist for Big Lots and was a member of The Rock Church. He was formerly an assistant Pastor, and he led various bible studies throughout the community and was a scout leader for the Christian Service Brigade. Lanny enjoyed science fiction, Star Trek, electronics, Apple gadgets, watching television, photography, The Ohio State Buckeyes and watching his sons and grandchildren play sports.
He is survived by his former wife Connie Markel Gross; three children: Benjamin (Rachel) Gross, Matthew Gross and Sarelle (Rayford) Wyder; a brother David Gross; a sister Debbie (Perry) Popp; eight grandchildren: Emma (Jonah), Josiah, Lydia, Claire, Ruthie, Asa, Ellington and Caramia.
Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8PM Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. The funeral will begin at 1PM Thursday, November 21, 2024, in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Aaron Wahl officiating. Burial to follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.
