Larry G. Thomas, 79 of Zanesville, died 3:27 AM, Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Genesis Morrison House Hospice, following a brief illness. He was born Wednesday, June 7, 1944, in Zanesville, the son of Emma "Peggy" Thomas.
Larry served his country as a veteran of the United States Navy during Vietnam. Larry was the Pressroom Manager for the Columbus Dispatch Newspaper for many years. He was a member of VFW Post 1058 and American Legion Post 29.
Larry is survived by his son, James Thomas of Zanesville; one granddaughter, Patricia Pettry of Zanesville and one great grandson, Dexter Taylor.

Friends may call from 12 Noon to 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Darren Tolbert officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park, with the United States Navy, VFW Post 1058 and American Legion Post 29 conducting full military honors.
