Larry Neal Mallow

Cumberland, MD – Larry Neal Mallow, 60, of Cumberland, MD, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 18, 2022, at UPMC Western Maryland.

Born August 18, 1962, in Cumberland, MD, Mr. Mallow was the son of the late Terrell Mallow and Glenda (Wilhelm) Mallow.

Larry is survived by his wife of 30 years, Pam (Flick) Mallow; his daughters: Jessica Griffith and husband, Stephen, and Kari Mallow; his son Josh Mallow; his grandchildren: Zachary, Lucas and Lillian Griffith; his brothers: Rick Mallow and wife, Cindy, Shawn Mallow and wife, Margie; his aunts: Delores Emerick, Martha Rorabaugh, Jeannie Hendrickson and husband, Fred; his niece, Amy Mallow; as well as numerous cousins.

Larry was fondly referred to as the family “pet whisperer.” He will also be missed by Belle, Duchess, Nala and Terk.

Larry was a member of the Ellerslie United Methodist Church. He graduated from Hyndman High School in 1980. Larry’s 35 years of employment started 4 South Sacred Heart, then Saint Vincent DePaul Nursing Home - Haven Unit. He completed his tenure as an emergency room technician at UPMC Western Maryland. In all these positions, he always showed caring and compassion for many patients.

Larry provided many years of dedicated service to the community. He was a Life member and Charter Member of Ellerslie Volunteer Ambulance Service, as well as a member of the Ellerslie Volunteer Fire Company.

Above everything else, family was most important to Larry and it showed through his unending support of his children and grandchildren in their many activities. One of his favorite activities was the many years he spent with Allegany Band Boosters.

The family would like to thank Dr. Robbins and the Emergency Room staff, as well as Dr. Bataineh and ICU staff, especially his nurse, Tiffany.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., and Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. The Ellerslie Fire Department will conduct a memorial service at 7:30 P.M. on Sunday, September 25, 2022.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, September 26, 2022, at 11:00 A.M., with Reverend Richard Ketterman officiating.

Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
