Laura Geraldine Hoover

Mrs. Laura Geraldine Hoover, 90, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025 at White Oak Manor in York, SC.

The service will be held at 1:30 pm at Grace Church of the Nazarene, 1029 Mt. Gallant Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732 on Friday, December 26, 2025. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, 620 S. Cherry Road. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30-1:30 pm at the church.

Born in Piedmont, SC, Mrs. Hoover was the daughter of the late Alvin Eugene Garrett and the late Clara Davis Garrett. She was employed with Rock Hill Printing & Finishing Co. in the Sample Dept and later worked at Willowbrook Washerette until her retirement. Mrs. Hoover was a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene. She was a generous woman who loved to share with others. She enjoyed crocheting and making afghans for nursing home residents and infants. Mrs. Hoover loved the Lord and was a tremendous prayer warrior.

Mrs. Hoover was known affectionately as a “Happy” individual by her friends, and always had a warm, infectious laugh. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel welcome and special. It was not uncommon to see children at church lining up waiting their turn for a warm hug from her. Her generous spirit and love for others will always be remembered.

Mrs. Hoover is survived by her loving children, Debbie Graham (Harry) of Rock Hill, SC, Denise Watson of Fort Mill and Randy Hoover (Angie) of Sharon, SC; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her husband, Randall, Mrs. Hoover was predeceased by her grandson Luke Hoover and seven siblings.
