Laverne S. Wilkinson

LaVerne S. (Burk) Wikinson, wife of the late Robert K. "Bob" Wilkinson on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at the age of 93.

Beloved and caring mother of Patrick "Pat" Aaron and Mary Ann Aaron, both of Turtle Creek, and Robert "Rob" Wilkinson Jr. and his wife Tracy of Madison Heights, MI; grandmother of her precious grandchildren, Patrick and Brittany of Turtle Creek, Michael of Mass., and Trina, Kelsey, and Dillon of Michigan; great-grandmother of Lennon and Aria. Also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mabel (Smith) Burk, and brothers Charles, Edward, and Bob Burk.

LaVerne will be remembered for her devotion to her family and her church, McMasters United Methodist, where she was a very active and life-long member. After retiring from Mellon Bank, she worked for the Jobe Funeral Home for over 32 years. Her greatest pride and joy was her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughters. LaVerne will be missed by her family and friends but this is not the end because she believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Thank you to Don Grubbs for the many things that he did for LaVerne over the years.

Family and friends will be received Friday, March 7 from 3-7 pm at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 118 Shaw Avenue, PO Box 110, Turtle Creek (412-823-1950). Additional visitation will be held Saturday, March 8 from 10 am until the time of service at 11 am at McMasters United Methodist Church, 200 Church Street, Turtle Creek.
