LaVerne Trexler
April 16, 1932 - December 29, 2022 (Age 90)
LaVerne “Chickie” Belle (Logsdon) Trexler, 90, passed away December 29, 2022, at the Mountain City Center in Frostburg, MD.
She was born in Cumberland, MD, on April 16, 1932, to the late Walter Charles and Frieda Lucille (LaBelle) Logsdon. In addition to her parents, LaVerne was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Laken Trexler; her son, Richard Timothy Parsons; her brother, Walter “Ike” D. Logsdon; her infant brother, Daniel Logsdon; a nephew, Daniel Logsdon; and a niece, Laura Jetelowski.
Chickie graduated from Fort Hill High School, and then went on to work for a while at the Celanese factory and the Green Fern Restaurant. She was a lifetime member of Livingstone Church. Most of all in life, she was a homemaker, and loved raising her family.
Surviving family members are her daughter, Lisa Lou Fallon and husband Troy; a brother, Leroy S. Logsdon; a sister, Mary Martin; a niece, Sherry Beitzel; nephews, Robert Logsdon and David Logsdon.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 4, 2023, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. 108 Virginia Ave. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Tom Woods officiating. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale, MD.
