Lawrence Sicheri

RIDGELEY – Lawrence Sicheri, 86, of Ridgeley, WV, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022, at UPMC Western Maryland.
Born April 26, 1936, he was the son of the late Robert and Elsie (Judy) Sicheri. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Sicheri, Jr.
Lawrence was a graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School and went on to work as a furniture and cabinet refinisher at Sears in LaVale for over 30 years. He was a loyal member of Central Assembly of God and was instrumental in the Bus Ministry for 15 years. Lawrence was a diligent man who genuinely enjoyed working.
Lawrence leaves behind his loving wife of 59 years, Shirley Y. (Stair) Sicheri; sisters, Barbara Albright, Garrett, PA, Ruth Berkebile and husband, Richard, Ebensburg, PA, Maxine Wiedner and husband, Sam, Berlin, PA, and Carol Mowry and husband, Dale, Bernalillo, NM; sister-in-law, Mari Sicheri, Frostburg, MD; favorite nephew, Marlon Kasekamp; favorite niece, Susan Collins; very special friend, Dalton Hillegas; numerous other nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Central Assembly of God, 2020 Bedford St, Cumberland, MD, on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, from 11am to 1pm. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1pm with Pastor Tom Lantz officiating. Private interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
