Leroy Watson
September 16, 1926 - January 25, 2024 (Age 97)
Leroy Watson, 97, husband of the loving Dorothy (Carter) Watson, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, January 25, 2024.
Leroy enjoyed walking around Pottstown; he would walk up and down High Street and make his usual stops to Dempsey Diner and The Very Best. In his younger years he was known for his boxing talent. Leroy had a strong devotion to the Lord, would read the bible daily and was always in Church on Sunday. Later in life, Leroy became a Deacon at Mt. Herman Missionary Baptist Church.
Along with his wife, Leroy leaves behind his memories to be cherished by his step-children: Mark Carter, Larry Carter, Sidney Porter, Keith Carter, Guy Carter, Kim Carter, Jay Carter, Timothy Carter, two nieces, many grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Leroy is predeceased by his children: Robert Carter, Pamala Butler, Kelly Carter, two sisters, Christine and Marie.
A Homegoing service will be Friday, February 2, 2024 promptly at 11 a.m. at the Warker~Troutman Funeral Home Inc, Pottstown. A public viewing will be held prior to service from 10 a.m. till 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery.
