Linda Burns

Linda Davis Burns, age 78, of Mint Hill, North Carolina passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Linda was born in Dillon, South Carolina. During her childhood and teenage years, she lived in South Carolina, North Carolina and Florida. Eventually moving back to North Carolina as a young adult where she later met her husband, Bill, of 52 years.

Linda was a devoted wife and mother. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchild very much. In addition to being a loving wife and amazing mother, she had a career spanning several years at Layton Eye Clinic and even drove a school bus for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.

Linda loved the beach very much. She enjoyed going to the beach with her family and friends. Some of the most memorable times during her life were enjoyed with her loved ones at the beach.

Linda was a devout and faithful Jehovah’s Witness. She was steadfast in her love for Jehovah and hopeful for Jehovah’s promise of everlasting life.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Bill Burns and mother, Lucille Koller. Linda is survived by her sons, Darek Burns (Amanda), Keith Burns (Marc Penna), and Mark Burns (Erin); her grandchildren, Christina Morgan (Chase), Benny Burns, and Brody Burns; her great-granddaughter, Mia Morgan; and many other loving and cherished close friends and extended family members.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday April 8, 2024 at McEwen Funeral Service - Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint hill Road, Mint Hill, NC. A reception will follow.
