Linda Fay Rapp
January 12, 1948 - March 17, 2024 (Age 76)
Linda Fay Rapp, age 76, of Lancaster, Ohio passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, March 17, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Born January 12, 1948 in Honaker, Virginia to the late Jack and Jean (Hess) Ray.
Linda was a passionate baker. She dedicated 40+ years at Bay’s IGA in Lithopolis, Ohio, where she was known for her specialty cakes. Linda was also an avid fan of Elvis; making sure everyone in the family carried on his legacy. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing the lottery and taking her chances at the casino slots.
Linda always said that her greatest accomplishment was raising her children. Family was the center of her world. She enjoyed anything that brought her children and grandchildren happiness: cheering them on at sporting events, playing endless rounds of card games and spoiling them with trips to their favorite store and restaurant. She will be remembered for being a proud mom and grandmother, but one who also extended her love and generosity to many others outside her family, most of which crowned her “mom”.
Linda’s big heart and beautiful smile will be deeply missed by her children, Tammy (Patrick) Murfield, Angel (Bill) Coontz, and Eddie (Erin) Rapp; grandchildren, Adam (Monique), Jason (Amber). Matt (Lyndsey), Charles (Jennifer), Ashley (Jason), Mary Beth, Taylor (Corbin), Austin (Madi), Andrew (Rachel), Jessie (Nate), Tyler, Ava (Braylin), Ronnie, and Dawkins; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jack (Louise) Ray Jr. and Debbie DeLay; and dearest friend, Lloyd Bay.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2024, from 4-7PM at DWAYNE R SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, CANAL WINCHESTER, 650 W Waterloo St. Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110. A funeral service will follow the next day, Monday, March 25, at 11AM at the funeral home with Pastor Zach Brown officiating. Interment Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
