Linda Lou Sager

Linda Lou (Bussard) Sager of Tarrs passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at the age of 82 with her daughters and family by her side. She was born April 10, 1942 and raised in Arona by her parents Leroy W. Bussard and Iona B. (Wingard) Bussard. She was preceded in death by her parents, her ex-husband Charles E. Sager (Shug), her brother Leroy J. Bussard and her sister, Lorraine Sue Haines. She is survived by her four beloved daughters: Robin L. Basinger (fiancé John Rose); Patti Jo Pritts (Rick}; Beverly A. Whitlatch (Keith); Terri Lee Tarr (Fred}; niece Rebecca Sue Kugle, who she also raised; her brother Larry Bussard and wife Sandy; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. After raising her family, Linda returned to school and obtained her G.E.D. and her home health nurse certification. She cared for many elderly folks in their homes. She also cared for her grandchildren so that her daughters could pursue careers. She was an avid reader from the time she could pick up a book and loved gardening. She lived her life focused on her children and grandchildren. A special thank you to the wonderful staff at Greene Health and Rehab Center for their loving care of “Miss Linda” in her final months. Family and friends will be received from 4-8 P.M. Saturday at the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 406 E. Washington St., Mount Pleasant, PA where services will be held on Sunday at 1:30 P.M. with Pastor Richard Sementilli officiating. Interment will be in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
