Linda Marie Fields

Bedford, PA – Linda Marie (Stakem) Fields, 76, of Bedford, PA, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Cumberland Healthcare Center.
Born January 10, 1949, in Cumberland, Linda was the daughter of the late Frank Aldren Stakem, and Theresa Elizabeth (Dreyer) Stakem. She was also preceded in death by her sister: Sharon Emerick; and her Welsh Terriers: Slider, Tally, Misty, and Mark.
Linda attended Allegany High School, and several Business Colleges in Baltimore, having worked at Lockheed Martin. Upon returning to Cumberland, she worked part-time at Martins and retired from Verizon with over 20 years of service. She was a member of the Women’s Civil Club, and Our Lady of the Mountain St, Patrick’s Parish. Linda’s true passion was for the Western PA Earthdog Club, where she was very active in all their AKC Shows, having 5 Welsh Terriers of her own, and winning several awards with each.
Linda is survived by her husband of 29 years: Robert “Bobby” Fields; her step-daughter: Jazlyn Fisher; her brother-in-law: Denny Fields and wife, Deborah; and her Welsh Terrier: Tegan.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. A service will follow at 7:00P.M., with Deacon Jim Rose officiating.
