Linda Stewart

Linda A. Stewart of Columbus, passed away peacefully November 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 14, 1940, in Washington Court House to the late, Arthur and Kathleen Beatty. Linda enjoyed watching Buckeye Football on Saturdays and professional tennis (she loved Coco Gauf). Preceding her in death was her husband of 29 years, Joseph Stewart. Linda was employed by the Borden Ice Cream Plant, Budweiser Brewing, and finally retired from Kroger Grocery in Worthington. Historical fact; Joseph and Linda owned and operated “Tonya’s Carryout” on Long St. in the 70’s.

She is survived by her daughter Tonya (Clarence) Irby, son Edwin B. Dixon Sr., grandchildren Ariana Irby, Rachel Irby, Alexandria Irby, Edwin B. (Teresa) Dixon Jr., great grandson Edwin B. Dixon III, a very special “daughter” Alma Peppers, and a host of family and close friends. Linda cherished her family. In her leisure time she enjoyed playing the slot machines at the casino and “hustling” her grandkids at cards.

Friends received Monday, November 17, 2025, from 11 am until 12pm, at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 South High Street, Columbus, OH 43206, where a funeral service will be held at 12 noon, with burial to follow at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
