Charlotte, North Carolina - Lizzie Miles Williams, 72, formerly of LaGrange, NC departed this life for her heavenly home on Sunday, January 30, 2022. She was the third child born to Jack and Fannie Miles, and an active member of Mount Calvary Free Will Baptist Church before moving to Charlotte, North Carolina. Lizzie was a graduate of Fink High School and a proud alumnus of North Carolina A & T State University. A retired school teacher, counselor and school administrator, Lizzie was always known for her love for students, dedication to her many organizations and her Christian Faith.
Lizzie was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Fannie Miles and husband Linsten Williams. She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory two sons, Listen Jermiles (Lauren) and Lushawn Javon (Sarata), her brother Roger (Mamie) Miles of LaGrange, North Carolina, sisters, Annie Miles Jackson of Irvington, New Jersey and Linda Miles Summers of Kinston, North Carolina, six (6) grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Homegoing Celebration will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 at St. Paul Baptist Church, 1401 North Allen Street Charlotte, NC 28205. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and service will follow at 12:00 pm. Interment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens.
