Lois Ann Gordon

Cumberland, MD Lois Ann Gordon, 74, went home to be with Jesus on May 22, 2021.

Lois was born to John Harris and Bertha Elizabeth Mower, Sr. on May 13, 1947, in Cumberland, MD.

Lois met her husband of 53 years, William Franklin Gordon, Sr., in 1966, through her church family at Central Assembly of God, where she was a member for 60+ years. They wrote to each other while Bill was serving our Country in the US Army, stationed in Germany. He returned home and they were married March 15, 1968. They went on to have three children: Lisa Ann Hare (Ernie), William Franklin Gordon, Jr, and Lori Ann Buzzard; seven grandchildren: Autumn Elizabeth Dishman, Cody Tyler Gordon, Lennon Macloud Squires, Abigail Jean Gordon, Caleb Walker Hare, Gentree McCartney Squires, and last but NOT least, Meadow Rain Buzzard, all surviving.

In addition to being a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend, Lois also loved sewing, cooking, singing and painting. She loved to watch the birds from the picture window. Throughout her ENTIRE life she held an unwavering faith in God the Almighty which she always shared with those who surrounded her. Lois joins in Heaven her parents; sister Nancy E. Jones; Daughter-in-law Lori Lynn Gordon; Special Brother-in-law Allen G. Foster; Sister-in-laws Carole E. Mower and Debra Gordon; and Brother-in-law Freddie Reith.

She is survived by, in addition to husband, children and grandchildren; two brothers: John H. Mower, Jr., and William Mower (Rita); sisters-in-law Shirley Reith, Wila Shimer (Allen), Hazel Foster, Lela Lavin (Joe), Bonnie Skidmore (Harvey); brothers-in-law: Benjamin R. Jones and Mark D. Gordon. She was also called MiMi by a very special niece: Ginger E. Tchimou, and multiple other nieces and nephews.

Services will be private. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
