Lois Ellen Tucker

Rock Hill, SC – Lois Ellen Tucker, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in Chester, South Carolina, on June 30, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on February 10, 1941, in Cabarrus County, Lois lived a life filled with love, resilience, and devotion to her family.
Lois was the cherished daughter of Rue Jackson Cunupp Sr. and Ruth Florence Sisk. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Billy Jim Tucker, as well as her oldest daughter, Angela Florence Tucker. Lois also mourned the loss of her brothers—Rue Jackson Cunupp and Franklin Davies, her brother Jerry Michael, and her identical twin sister, Joyce Helen C. Williams. Each of these loves left an indelible mark on her heart.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Teresa Hall; grandchildren, Randall Moss, Justin Moss, Felecia Tucker, Jorden Weiker, Austin Thrift, and Briana Weiker; 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Lois dedicated much of her life to her work as a production operator in textiles at Randolph Yarns Red River, where she was known for her strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. While her professional life was important, her greatest joy came from her family.
Lois was known for her warm heart and welcoming spirit, traits that endeared her to all who met her. She had an innate ability to listen and offer guidance, providing a sense of comfort and security to those around her. Her laughter could brighten the darkest of days, and her kindness left a lasting impact on her community.
Family gatherings were a highlight of Lois’s life, where she would share stories, laughter, and delicious meals. Even in her later years, she found joy in nurturing the next generation, always eager to share her wisdom and love.
A funeral service to honor Lois’s life will be held on July 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Greene Funeral Home Downtown Chapel, located at 355 E. White Street, Rock Hill, SC 29730. Prior to the service, a visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM for all who wish to pay their respects.
As we remember Lois Ellen Tucker, we celebrate a life well-lived and filled with love. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and devotion that will continue to inspire her family and friends for generations to come. May she rest in peace, knowing she was immensely loved and will be deeply missed.
