Lois L. Johnson

February 7, 1932 - April 15, 2025 (Age 93)

Lois Leona Johnson, age 93 born February 7, 1932 in Decatur, Mifflin county Pennsylvania to the late William W. and Vesta (Lepley) Wray, passed away peacefully April 15, 2025 in the care of The Inn at Summit Trail. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Russell E. Johnson of 42 years , her sisters and brothers in Law, Kathryn (Ed) Rodkey, Arlene (Harry) Baumgardner, Edith Wray, In- laws, Helen and Russell F. Johnson, sister in law Joann Johnson, and Margaret Wray, son-in-law Robert McFadyen and her great niece Abbey Rodkey.

Lois is survived by her brother William (Beth) Wray, loving children, Michael (Paula) Johnson and Debra McFadyen, her much loved 5 grandchildren Ryan (Lacey) McFadyen, Amanda Johnson, Michelle (Mitchell) Tom, Heather (Ryan) Colston, Paige (Ryenn Stallard) McFadyen, and her 12 great grandchildren, Chandler, McKenna, James, Maddox, Michaela, Sophia, Thomas, Maverick, Cooper, Anthony, Gregory, and Olivia who gave her such joy and 8 very dear Nieces and Nephews and their children and grandchildren.

Lois was the first born of her siblings and spent her youth in Pennsylvania where she was a 1950 graduate of Lewistown High School. Following high school she worked as an executive secretary at the Cluett Peabody Arrow shirt factory also in Lewistown. After meeting and marrying the love of her life she moved to Columbus, Ohio where she worked briefly for Nationwide Insurance until she began raising her children. Lois liked to garden and was an avid reader but mostly just loved nurturing her family. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, kind heart and constant smile.

Visitation will be held on Thursday May 1, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Advantage by Schoedinger North at 5554 Karl Rd in Columbus, with funeral service on Friday May 2, 2025 at 10:00 am.

Interment to follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
