Lois M Stout

Lois M. Stahl Stout, 87, of Hecla, passed away on Jan. 28, 2025. She was born in Hecla, on Jan. 24, 1938, a daughter of the late Albert and Dorothy Gettemy. Lois dedicated over 30 years of her life to serving the Mount Pleasant Area School District as a school bus driver. Her commitment to the safety and well-being of the children she transported was unwavering, and she took great pride in her work. A devoted family woman, Lois cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her love extended beyond her immediate family to include her beloved farm animals, which brought her immense joy and fulfillment. Lois was a faithful member of the Community Church of Hecla, where she found solace and strength throughout her life. Her faith was a guiding light, and she treasured the community and friendships she built there. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Onega. Lois leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold her memory dear: her children, Judy (Jim) Bowser, Karen (Frank) Stoner, Donald (Christine) Stahl, Tammy (Jay) Klosky, and Jennifer (Ronald) Bungard; her sister, Joann (John) Brown; along with twelve grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren. Family and friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m., on Thursday, at the HOFFER WILT FUNERAL HOME, 2245 Mount Pleasant Road, Norvelt. Additional viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the hour of her funeral service at 11 a.m., on Friday, conducted by Rev.
