Lori Lynn Lewis-Walker

Lori Lynn Lewis-Walker, 63, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022 peacefully at home following an extended illness.

Lori was born in Canton, Ohio on February 3, 1959 to Johnie and Geneva Lewis. Lori graduated from Canton South High School in 1975. She attended The American Institute for Paralegal Studies and received her Paralegal Certification in 1993. She would go on to further her education by receiving her Associate of Arts Degree from Kent State University while also obtaining her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Malone University in 2004. Lori served 25 years at Nationwide Insurance Company while she most recently retired after several years of working as an Administrative Professional with Canton City Schools.

Lori loved to cook. She enjoyed being in the kitchen and always called to ask you what you were cooking so she could tell you what she was making. Some of her signature dishes included lasagna, macaroni & cheese, dressing, cheese balls and of course her famous pound cake. Lori loved watching food network, spending time with her husband, family and friends on her porch, talking on the phone, going fishing and attending the Hall of Fame Drum and Bugle Show. Lori could brighten up a room with her beauty, infectious smile and laughter. Lori had an amazing soul and a heart of gold. One of Lori’s favorite sayings was “Be good or Be good at it.” She always gave you great advice and was all about handling her business. Lori was driven to succeed and lived her life as she pleased. She will be dearly missed.

Lori leaves to cherish in her memory her loving husband of 19 years, Mickey Walker. Parents, Johnie and Geneva Lewis; Children, Keisha (Sam) Peterson and Bryce Lewis; Stepchildren Lanetta Walker, Brandy Walker II, Mickey Walker II; Grandchildren Da’Vina Shelton, Bryce Lewis, Devion Elder, Aniyah Lewis, Bry’ana Lewis, Daryan Lewis, Sammire Robinson, Zaiden Lewis and Neveah Walker; Brother, Ricky Lewis of Atlanta GA.; Sister, Toni Lewis of Canton, Ohio, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends including her close girlfriends Charlotte Truitt, Yolanda Tolson and aunt Michelle Ellis.
