Lorrie A. Mitchell

Lorrie A. Mitchell, 55, of Imler, gained her wings on December 19, 2021. She was born April 7, 1966, in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Curtis E. Cox and Brenda C. (Midkiff) Cox. She married Harry R. Mitchell on September 26, 1987 in Imler.

She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, a daughter LaShae A. Bridges and husband Michael, of Centerville, and their children Colby, Aubrie and Cassie, a son Curtis A. Mitchell and wife Cayla, of Weyant, and their children Madelyn, Hudson and Lucy, brothers Michael A. Cox and wife Denise, of Imler, and Darin E. Cox and wife Karmela, of Fishertown, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her younger sister BeLinda C. Cox and an infant brother Nevin E. Cox.

Lorrie was a 1985 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School and was a member of the Peoples Bible Holiness Church.

She devoted her life to helping others from a young age and worked as an aide for MH-MR. She became a caregiver to her younger sister BeLinda until the time of her passing.

Lorrie had a larger than life personality and was known to stand out in a crowd. She loved shopping, shoes, and all things vibrant and loud, much like herself.

She loved her family so much and her grandbabies meant the world to her. There is nothing in this world she wouldn’t do for any of them and was always a phone call away.

Lorrie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received from 4 P.M. until the 7:00 P.M. funeral service on Wednesday December 22, 2021 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg, with Pastor Dan Dicken officiating. Interment at Bedford County Memorial Park.
