Lou Ann Tallarico
December 6, 1939 - June 17, 2022 (Age 82)
Lou Ann Tallarico, 82 of Zanesville died peacefully at 9:56 AM Friday, June 17, 2022 at the Genesis Morrison House Hospice, surrounded by her loving family.
Ann was born December 6, 1939 in Bim, WV, the daughter of Carnie Frank Miller and Flora Inez Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anthony "Tony" Dominic Tallarico.
Ann is survived by her three children, Tony Tallarico (Tina), Susan Hallstrom (Curtis) and John Tallarico (Katrina). She was a loving grandmother to nine wonderful grandchildren Justin (Bernice) Tallarico, Emily (Brett) Edwards, Dominic (Haley) Tallarico, Curtis Hallstrom, Kyle (Rachael) Hallstrom, Colin Hallstrom, Katelyn (Joe) Kirn, Joseph Tallarico and Jacob Tallarico. She was also blessed with nine adorable great-grandchildren. Ann was happiest when she was spending time with her family and traveling to see her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church since 1967, Ann volunteered for many church activities and committees throughout the years. She enjoyed being a member of the St. Thomas choir and the Rosary Altar Society.
Ann graduated from the Mount Carmel School of Nursing in 1961 as an LPN. She practiced nursing for 35 years, 10 years in Columbus, Ohio and 25 years at Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville from which she retired.
Ann was an incredibly gifted and talented artist. She painted beautiful pictures throughout her life which brought her such comfort and joy. She loved her paintings like she loved her children. Ann also wrote inspiring poetry which reflected the times throughout her life. Her lovely poems have brought smiles to our faces and will be enjoyed by her family for years to come. She will be missed most by her family and by all those who knew her.
Visitation will be held 4:00PM to 6:00 PM with Rosary recited at 6:00 PM on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. Funeral Mass be celebrated at 10:30 AM Monday, June 20, 2022 at the St. Thomas Catholic Church Event Center with Fr. Thomas Kamau as celebrant. Burial will conclude at the Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
