Lucille Ann Dettrich
December 27, 1930 - November 23, 2024 (Age 93)
Lucille Ann (Geiger) Dettrich, 93, of Pottstown, PA, passed away on November 23, 2024, at Laureldale Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Arthur “Pete” J. Dettrich Jr., who passed away in 2007.
Born in Reading, PA, on December 27, 1930, Lucille was the daughter of the late Franklin E. Geiger Sr. and Ethel M. (Sharp) Geiger.
Lucille graduated from Reading High School and worked as a bookkeeper. She was a devoted member of New Covenant Baptist Church in Pottstown, PA, where she joyfully sang in the church choir. Known for her beautiful soprano voice, Lucille also shared her love of music with the 'As Time Goes By' choir at the TriCounty Active Adult Center.
Lucille is lovingly remembered by her sister, Nancy Benoit, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Lucille was predeceased by her siblings, Franklin Jr., Richard, Ronald, Gail, Joanne, and Sheila.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Houck & Gofus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464. A funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. Interment will take place after the service at Highland Memorial Park, 701 Farmington Ave., Pottstown, PA 19464.
