Lyda Grimmette-Estep

Lyda Hope (Skeens) Grimmette Estep, age 84, of Groveport, OH passed away March 4, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born July 7, 1937 in Henlawson, WV to the late Charlie and Grace Skeens. Lyda worked as an operator for Ohio Bell and AT&T for 25 plus years. She was a member of Charisma Life Church. Lyda enjoyed spending time with her family and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Grimmette; second husband, Omar Estep; son, Michael Grimmette; and two brothers, Paul Skeens and Doug Skeens. Survived by her daughter, Kim (Chris) McIntosh; step-sister, Karen (John) Fletcher-Kimmel, three grandchildren, Christopher (Megan) Noel, Stephanie (Hyatt) Shirkey and Nicholas (Jenny) McIntosh; great grandchildren, Christian, Victoria, Isaac and Xavier Noel; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends may visit 11-1:00pm on Wednesday, March 9, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St. Canal Winchester, OH 43110. A graveside service will follow at 1:30pm at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens, Canal Winchester, OH. Donations can be made in her name to Bella Care Hospice.
