Malik J. Franklin

Malik Jevan Franklin was born January 1, 1997, in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was the youngest of 4 children to Matthew I. Franklin and Jewel A. Franklin.

Malik attended Northeast Middle School and graduated from Butler High School in February 2015. He then went on to receive his recording degree from RCC.

His work history began at McDonalds where he ate quarter pounders with mac sauce like it was going out of style. He became a Walmart associate and worked there until he began his career as an entrepreneur and started Dr0p0ut productions LLC. Malik worked with new and established artists like Anthony Hamilton and Dababy.

Some of Malik's favorite things were playing basketball, watching movies such as The Purge and Infinity War and eating foods like crazy fries, chipotle and cava. Malik had a love affair with Cinnabon. His sweet tooth was serious! Malik was funny, intelligent, kind and creative.

Malik leaves to cherish his memory his parents Matthew I. Franklin and Jewel A. Franklin, sisters, Cheri Perkins-Woodruff (Larry). Octavia Parrillo (Danny), brother, Matthew O. Franklin, and Trouble. His grandmothers Eleanor Williams and Jessie Jones(Willie), friends and a whole bunch of family.

Malik is deeply loved and will be truly missed, He joins his grandfather Arthur Williams Jr. in heaven where they will make music for the lord, Malik making the beats and his grandfather singing the songs. As Malik rests with God, may he forever live in our hearts.
