Margaret Ellen (Thomas) Stufft, 83, of New Paris, was called home to the Lord on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at home filled with love and heavy hearts.
She was born on February 19, 1938, in Johnstown; daughter of the late Earl and Jane (Nugent) Thomas.
On May 10, 1954, she married Bill Stufft and started a family of 7 children.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; son, Earl; and infant son, Thomas.
She is survived by her children, Barb and husband Kirk Karns; Jim and wife JoAnn Stufft; Gary and wife Gail Stufft; Bill Stufft; Sandy and husband Tim Furry; 12 grandchildren; 1 step-granddaughter; and 13 great-grandchildren. Aside from her children, she devoted her love and energy as a caregiver to her husband Bill and mother, Jane.
Margaret was a great cook who enjoyed family time, being outdoors planting flowers, feeding birds, hanging up laundry, sitting on the porch with her flock of hummingbirds. Indoors she relaxed with a crossword puzzle and a pen. She is the definition of strength and will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be private.
Interment will be held at the Bedford County Memorial Park.
