Margaret L. Wilson
June 16, 1933 - November 29, 2025 (Age 92)
Margaret “Aunt Margie” L. Watson, 92, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her family. Born in Toughkenamon, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert Earl Dennison and Sophie Mae Sedgwick. She was the loving wife of William G. Watson for 24 years until his passing.
She was a lifelong member of Bethel AME Church.
Aunt Margie dedicated her life to caring for children. For many years, she owned Margaret’s Day Care. Later, she worked at The McCaskey High School Day Care, YWCA- Day Care, and Camp Hogan.
She was a member of Queen of Sheeba Temple, Conestoga Lodge 137 in Lancaster, and a past Daughter Ruler. Aunt Margie, in her free time, she loved spending time with family and telling stories of her life.
Aunt Margie is survived by her daughter, Sophia G. Watson, her five grandchildren, Joel Morant, Jerod Morant, Jayla (Corey) Johnson, Nynika Walker, Charles Walker; her ten great-grandchildren; and sixteen great-great-grandchildren; her sister Dora Dennison, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Aunt Margie was preceded in death by her daughter, Yvonne “Marion” Morant, and her siblings, Mary Wickenheiser, Louis Dennison, Granville Dennison, Raymond Dennison, Helen Dixon, Ida White, Christine Colbert, Shirley Wright, Agnes Dennison, Joseph Dennison, and Katherine Ann Boyer.
Aunt Margie would like to give special thanks to her great-great-great nieces, Alonna Convington, London Leonard, and India Owens, for always visiting and uplifting her spirits like only they could.
A Homegoing Service will be held at Bethel AME Church, 450 E Strawberry St, Lancaster, PA 17602, on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. Friends are invited to the viewing starting at 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow the service at Riverview Burial Park.
