Margaret Louise Troutman
November 1, 1926 - October 15, 2025 (Age 98)
Margaret Louise Troutman passed peacefully at her home on October 15, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and the gentle care of hospice. Through the blessing of Novant Hospice, she was able to remain in the comfort of her home, embraced by those who cherished her most.
Born on November 1, 1926, Margaret was the beloved daughter of Charlie and Emma Sherrill. A spirited soul with a deep love for the outdoors, she could rarely be kept inside. Even at the age of 98, she was known to be outside, trimming bushes and tending to nature with the same energy and joy she carried throughout her life. When indoors, Margaret found quiet pleasure in crocheting, weaving warmth and beauty into every stitch.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Fincher Troutman, and her beloved daughter, Linda. Margaret is survived by her son, David; her sister, Tiny Bare; and a legacy of love carried on by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and dear friends.
Her family has entrusted Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home with the honor of caring for Margaret. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 20, 2025, at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Charlotte, NC.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Novant Hospice for their compassionate care and unwavering support during Margaret’s final days.
Margaret’s life was a testament to resilience, joy, and the quiet strength of a woman who found beauty in the simple things—sunlight on leaves, the rhythm of a crochet hook, and the laughter of generations she helped raise. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
