August 21, 1933 - June 15, 2024 (Age 90)
Margaret Lucille Stanton Kienle died in San Diego June 15, 2024, after a brief illness. Born August 21, 1933, in Pottstown, she relocated to California in 2017 to be near family.
Peggy was a resilient person who survived bulgar polio contracted during her senior year at Pottstown High School. After high school she worked as a telephone operator and married John J Kienle in 1955.
She became a homemaker and neighborhood "mom" while raising four children and being active in the Ringing Hill Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary as well as multiple PTA's for over 25 years. She re entered working outside the home at Sunset Manufacturing and later with AT&T, where she retired.
In retirement, she enjoyed water aerobics at "The Y", took up the piano, volunteered at Pottstown Memorial Hospital and visited her far-flung family.
Throughout her life, Peggy was known for her loyalty, sense of fairness, selflessness and progressive world views. She always loved a party and insisted she would be the last to leave. Those she has left behind will do our best to carry on without her.
