Margaret Oplinger

Margaret Oplinger, 95, of Greensburg, died, Tuesday, July 30, 2024. She was born in Greensburg, October 22, 1928, a daughter of the late Abraham Samuels and Jean Davey Samuels. Margaret’s life revolved around her church, Hempfield Church of Christ, where she was involved in the choir, working in the nursery and visiting shut ins. She loved cats and took pride in taking care of her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas F. Oplinger; and sister, Betty Howard. She is survived by her son, Thomas M. Oplinger (Jeanne) and her daughter, Judith A Carter (Larry); her grandchildren, Claire Oplinger, David Oplinger, Jason Carter (Stacy), Brian Carter (Betsy) and Jill Toth (John); also, her 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services and burial for Margaret were private and were handled by Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, Greensburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hempfield Church of Christ, 144 Hugh Black Road, Greensburg, PA 15601.
