Mrs. Margaret Abigail “Abby” Thomasson, 78, of Rock Hill passed away Sunday October 26, 2025 at McCall Hospice House.
Graveside services for Mrs. Thomasson will be at 3:30 PM, on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Road, 620 South Cherry Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732 with Reverend Jerry Devinney officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Grandview.
Mrs. Thomasson was a native of Union County, SC and the daughter of the late James H and Doris G Sexton. She was of the Methodist faith. She will be remembered most for her selflessness and unwavering care for others. A true caregiver at heart, she devoted much of her life to tending to family members and friends in times of need. Always putting others’ comfort and happiness ahead of her own. Whether it was a kind word, a helping hand, or simply being there when it mattered most, she lived a life rooted in compassion and generosity. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thomasson was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, David Thomasson, her son, Michael Thomasson and two brothers.
Mrs. Thomasson is survived by her son Brent Thomasson (Millie) of Greenville, SC; and her two grandchildren, Caroline and Mac Thomasson.
