Margaret Rose Smith, 87, of Zanesville, died at 3:16 P.M. Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville. She was born November 12, 1934, in Alexander Manitoba, Canada, a daughter of the late Francis and Catherine Paterson Amos. Margaret was a retired Registered Nurse for Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Y-City Woman’s Club and served as a volunteer at the First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Jerry Smith, whom she married November 7, 1959; a son, Jeffrey F. (Margaret) Smith; two grandchildren, Ryan (Leslie) Smith and Kaitlin Smith and two brothers, Gordon (Mary) Amos and Jack Amos and a sister Jean Adams.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters and an infant brother.
Friends and family may call from 4:00- 7:00 P.M. Thursday, October 20, 2022 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 21, 2022 with Rev. Karen Montgomery officiating. She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
