Marguerite Leoda Felix
February 27, 1950 - December 2, 2024 (Age 74)
Marguerite Leoda (Harris) Felix, 74, of Zanesville Ohio, joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, December 2, 2024, at her son's residence peacefully in her sleep after a very long battle with COPD.
Marguerite was born February 27, 1950, in Zanesville, daughter of the late Daniel “Pig” Harris and Eva “Betty” Elizabeth (Shuman) Harris. She was a lifelong resident of Zanesville and retired from Cedar Hill Care Facility. She loved to be around her family and spent a lot of her retirement years at one of her sons' homes. Marguerite loved her family and was always the first to step in and help out any other loved ones. She had a strong belief in Jesus Christ and would pass time reading her bible. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren as well as going fishing. Marguerite was an avid Steelers and Buckeyes fan.
In addition to her parents, Marguerite is also preceded in death by sisters, Donna “Bird” Willet and Diane Harris; brothers, Daniel “Danny” Harris and Chester “Chetty Goody” Harris; still born daughter, Danielle Marie Norris.
Marguerite leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Michael (Ashley) Harris, Walter “Jr” (Kaye) Norris and Daniel (Amanda) Norris; siblings, Rachel Jackson of Columbus, Nora Lewis and Earnest (Kaye) Harris all of Zanesville; husband, Sam Felix; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special thank you to her care providers, nurse Pam and aide Kim, but most importantly to her daughter in law who provided 24-hour care. Ashley who Marguerite referred to as her “Living Angel” was just that to her, especially during her last year with us. Her smile and love for her family will truly be missed.
You may call on the family on Monday, December 9, 2024, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Burrell Funeral Services with funeral services starting at 1 p.m. Burial will follow funeral services in Zanesville Memorial Park.
