Marie Scheurich
February 1, 1938 - September 18, 2024 (Age 86)
Marie G. Scheurich, 86, of Lancaster, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Lancaster General Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Jessie (Hammons) Groff. She was the loving wife of Larry G. Scheurich, Sr. for over 63 years.
Marie ran the snack bar at the former Herr’s Barn in Lancaster and had also worked at the former Christmas Tree Shoppes. She was a longtime member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Lancaster and loved doing puzzles and listening to the Statler Brothers. Marie was also the scorekeeper for Legion Baseball during Larry’s coaching days.
In addition to her husband, Marie is survived by two children: Dawn Huber (Troy) and Larry G. Scheurich, Jr., (Debbie); 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and sisters, Linda George and Betty Weaver.
A Funeral Service will take place at Dewald Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 227 W. 4th St., Quarryville, PA on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. The family will greet friends from 10-11 a.m. Private interment will follow in the Conestoga Memorial Park. Kindly omit flowers.
