Rock Hill, SC – Marilyn Ann Gregoire, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, was called home to our heavenly Father on September 4, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on March 8, 1947, at Marygarite Hague Hospital in Jersey City, NJ, Marilyn was a source of joy and love to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Marilyn was the cherished daughter of William and Doris Godfrey, who preceded her in death. Their guidance and love shaped her into the compassionate and giving person she became. Throughout her life, Marilyn exemplified the values of kindness, empathy, and unwavering support, enriching the lives of those around her.
In her role as a mother, Marilyn was a steadfast source of strength and encouragement for her children. She is survived by her son, Eugene E. Gregoire Jr. (Deborah M.), and her daughter, Christine Y. Thiel, who carry forward her legacy of love and devotion. Marilyn was also a proud grandmother to her beloved granddaughters, Ashley and Rachel, who brought her immense joy and filled her life with laughter and warmth.
Marilyn’s impact extended beyond her family; she was a loving friend and neighbor, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a kind word. Her spirit was infectious, and she had an innate ability to make those around her feel valued and special. She was known for her unwavering faith, a beacon of light that guided her through life’s challenges and triumphs.
A funeral service to celebrate Marilyn’s life will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, located at 2133 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on, Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, also at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel.
