Marilyn Puklavec

Marilyn Puklavec, 64, of Herminie passed away unexpectedly Saturday, April 1, 2023, at her home. She was born Aug. 16, 1958, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Frank and Louise (Pace) Puklavec. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Roxanne Tepke. Marilyn was a member of St Edward Church in Herminie. She loved working at the church bingo and church picnic for many years. She was a past member of the Altar Rosary Society and loved helping taking care of the flowers on the church grounds. She enjoyed baking, knitting and was an avid reader. Marilyn is survived by her sister, Cathy (Jim) Martin, of North Huntingdon; a brother, Fran L. (Laurie) Puklavec, of Herminie; brother-in-law, Dennis Tepke, of Greensburg; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and many cousins. She is also survived by her cat, Mitchell, whom she loved dearly. Marilyn will be dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. The family would like to thank Tom and Cara with the RWNES Ambulance Service for taking care of Marilyn with upmost compassionate care and dignity. Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME, 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, 724-446-7251, at which time at 1 p.m. a funeral liturgy will be held in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township. In memory of Marilyn, the family request donations be made to STCAS/RWNES P.O.
