Marjorie Ann Williams

February 18, 1930 - October 16, 2024 (Age 94)

Marjorie Ann Copeland Williams, of Mint Hill, North Carolina, walked into the arms of Jesus on October 16, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Born February 18, 1930, in Knoxville, Tennessee, Marjorie was a daughter of the late James McMinn Copeland and Hattie Belle Fritts Copeland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Floyd Eugene Williams; her brother, James McMinn Copeland, II; and her sister, Norma Jean Holloway.

Throughout her life, Marjorie was dedicated to serving the Lord through missionary work around the world. She was a beloved member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church where she loved spending her time with her Sunday school class.

Marjorie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to anyone she met. Her greatest love was spending time with family and getting together for the holidays. She never met a stranger and could talk to you about anything for hours. Marjorie’s favorite saying was, “I love you too, honey!”

She is survived by her children, Michael (Debbie) Williams of Huntland, Tennessee, and their children, Angie (Nathan), Mandi, April, Jim, and David; Patricia Williams Warren (Bill) of Mint Hill and their children, Candy (James), Leslie, and Brittany (Michael); and Gregory Williams (Cindy) of Mint Hill, and their children, Heather, Meredith (Zach) and Kristin (Jarrett). Her family expanded even more with the birth of her 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Monday, October 21, 2024, at 11:00 am, at Sunset Memory Gardens in Mint Hill. Dr. John Harrill will officiate.

Marjorie’s family offers a special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Levine and Dickson Hospice House at Aldersgate for their unconditional love and support of our loved one.

In lieu of flowers, Marjorie's family ask that you consider making a memorial gift to Levine and Dickson Hospice House at Aldersgate, Samaritan’s Purse, or Hickory Grove Baptist Church.
