Marjorie P. Bell “Penny”, 83, passed away on December 17, 2022 just 10 days shy of her 84th birthday. She was born December 27, 1938 to the late Benjamin F. Penny and Margueritte Lesesne Penny in Bladen, North Carolina.
Penny retired from Duke Power as a customer service representative and continued to work with her son for 20 years at Proscape and Irrigation. When she wasn’t working, Penny could be found on the dancefloor as she loved dancing to all kinds of music including shagging or outside, enjoying nature in her garden. She was a lady that valued friends and family and enjoyed spending time with her loved ones. Penny will be remembered as a vibrant, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was always willing to lend a helping hand and give to others. She was of the Presbyterian faith and was a lifetime member of Indian Trail Presbyterian Church.
Penny is survived by her daughter, Barbara Alexander and husband Billy; son, Michael Bell and wife Rianne; grandsons Matt Alexander and wife Brandy, and Travis Alexander; granddaughters, Catlin Alexander and Taylor Alexander; niece, Yvone Stegall and husband Dale; nephews Bob Bell and wife Linda, and Donald Benfield and wife Theresa, great grandsons Zane Alexander and Zach Alexander; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
