Marlene Boeth
March 20, 1940 - August 1, 2023 (Age 83)
Marlene Boeth, 83, of the Tripp Park section of Scranton, died Tuesday August 1st, 2023 following a brief illness. Her husband of 56 years is Robert “Bootsie” Boeth.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Claire Emiliani Armezzani. A 1958 graduate of Scranton Central High School, she was employed as a pharmacy technician for many years by Rea & Derrick and then Leonard’s Pharmacy from which she retired.
Marlene loved to spend nights out with friends bowling and enjoyed socializing. She also loved to travel with her husband Bootsie and often took trips in their camper to many different places. An avid Penn State fan, she and Bob held season tickets for many years and loved attending all the home games. They made lifelong friends from all over the country from those games.
Marlene adored being a mother and grandmother and spent a lot of time with her kids and grandkids. It truly was her joy.
Marlene’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs at Clarks Summit Senior Living, Lehigh Valley Health Network Dickson City, and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their wonderful care, compassion, and kindness.
Surviving are daughter, Marisa Naughton and husband Donald, Dunmore. Two granddaughters, Brynne Naughton-Garrett & spouse Toy Garrett, Dunmore and Taryn Naughton, Clarks Summit. Three great grandchildren, Mason and twins Kingston and Kensley Garrett, and a son, John “Jack” Boeth, Scranton.
She was proceeded in death by brothers Giovacchino “Jackie” Armezzani and Arnold Armezzani ll.
The funeral will be conducted on Friday with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 1403 Jackson St., Scranton. Entombment will follow in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst. Everyone attending the Mass is kindly asked to proceed directly to church. Family and friends may pay their respects Thursday from 5-7 pm in the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave. Scranton.
