Mary Alice Jasper

Mary Alice (Hughes) Jasper, age 86, of Jeannette passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021. She was born July 25, 1934 in Edgewood, the daughter of the late Christopher and Alice (Bailey) Hughes. She was a former employee at the Colonial Grill in Irwin and Monsour Hospital. She also sang in the Melody Hills Chorus of the Sweet Adelines. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband Ladd T. Jasper; and brothers Jim and Jack Hughes. She is survived by several lovable nieces and nephews including Wendy Bigelow that helped with her care during her illness; her caring sister in law Doris (the late Lee) Jasper; her best friend of over 60 years Joan Spada and her family; and her good neighbor Scott. Friends and family will be received Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Steve Craft officiating. Private interment will be at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon. In lieu of flowers a contribution can be made to the American Cancer Society.
