Mary Elizabeth Wyant

Mary Elizabeth (Callender) Wyant, 80, of Latrobe, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023 at her home.
Born November 14, 1942 in Braddock, she was a daughter of the late George and Mercedes (Glatz) Callender.
Mary was a member of St. Rose Church, Latrobe, and its Rosary Altar Christian Mothers. Along with her husband, they had helped couples with marriage counseling for many years while members of St. Agnes Church, North Huntington. Prior to her retirement, she had been a nurse for the Sisters of Charity. Throughout the years, she enjoyed camping with her family, cooking, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Lawrence Franklin “Nicky” Wyant Jr.; a daughter-in-law, Renaee Wyant; a sister, Patricia Smith; and a brother, James Callender.
Mary is survived by three sons, Larry Wyant of Latrobe, Christopher A. Wyant of Latrobe, and Matthew J. Wyant, and his wife Kristin, of Derry; one daughter, Helen M. Wilker, and her husband Kevin, of Derry; one sister, Kathy Weyandt, and her husband Gary, of East Freedom, PA; ten grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at the Lopatich-Brinker Funeral Home, LLC, 601 Weldon Street, Latrobe. Members of the St. Rose Rosary Altar Christian Mothers will recite the Rosary at 1:30 PM Wednesday in the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM Thursday at St. Rose Church.
