Mary Jane Runcel
March 12, 1935 - May 8, 2025 (Age 90)
Mary Jane Runcel, 90, of Bausman, passed away at home on Thursday, May 8, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born in Oxford PA, she was the daughter of the late George Murray and Ada (McComsey) Murray. She was also the loving wife of Gene Runcel prior to his passing in 1991.
Mary was an office manager at Yorgey’s Dry Cleaning for 29 years and worked at Fashion Bug for 14 years. While she took pride in her work, she took extra care in keeping her home beautiful, ensuring both the inside and outside were well taken care of. She was also deeply devoted to her family, especially her pitbull buddy, Chaos.
Mary is survived by her children, Mary Aquino (Edward), Bonnie Kirchner (Roger Lawn), and Gene Runcel Jr.; grandchildren James (Jenifer), Nathan (Amber), Amanda, Melinda, and Gene III (Brittney); and great-grandchildren Claud, Owen, Holden, Lily, and Lacey.
Mary is also preceded in death by her grandson Jeffrey, and siblings Hickey and Ruth.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 12PM at Conestoga Memorial Park, 95 Second Lock Rd, Lancaster, PA 17603. Friends and family will be received from 10-11AM prior to the Graveside Service at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N George St, Millersville, PA 17551.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lancaster SPCA, 848 S. Prince St, Lancaster, PA 17603.
