Mary Lee Ross

August 29, 1941 - July 30, 2021 (Age 79)

Mary Lee Ross, of Midland, North Carolina, passed away Friday, July 30, 2021, in the Harris Hospice Unit at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center. She was 79 years old.

This beautiful woman has been the backbone of her family for many years. Five daughters, 16 grandchildren and the number of great-grandchildren still growing. She is now reunited with her first love, her husband, whose reunion she has longed for, for many years. It brings the family comfort and joy knowing they are together again.

Mary Lee was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Gosnell; her beloved husband, Douglas Ross; her beloved brother, John Reavis; and her great-grandson, Greyson Eichenblat.

Mary Lee is survived by her five daughters, Marianne R. Wiggins and husband, Eddie, of Mint Hill, Carolynn Van Dyke and husband, David of Midland, Linda Ross and partner, Patty Flaherty, of Charlotte, Suzanne Estes of Columbia, SC and Elizabeth Horsley and husband, Kirk, of Fort Mill, SC; her grandchildren, Siobhan, Mindy, Nicole, Ross, Kevin, Nicholas, Bryan, Sean, Samantha, Malik, Salma, Abigail, Cameron, Hannah, Hariette and Henry; and her great-grandchildren, Austin, Taylor, Adalyn, Luke, Preston, Riley, Landon, Benjamin, Connor and Ellie.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road in Mint Hill, with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. The Reverend John Cashwell, of Providence Baptist Church, Harrisburg, will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
