Mary Meade

Cumberland, MD – Mary “Mack” Magaline Meade, 94, of Cumberland, MD, peacefully transitioned home to be with her Heavenly Father, Sunday, October 8, 2023.
Born November 28, 1928, in Cumberland, MD, Ms. Meade was the daughter of the late Carl, Sr. and Naomi (Parker) Meade. She was also preceded in death by her brothers: Carl, Jr., Fred, Jimmy, David, George, Reginald, Joseph “Bobbie”, and Theodore Meade; her sisters: Helen Meade, and Carolyn Washington; her son: William Meade; and her daughters: JoLee Younger, Mary S. Meade, and Kimberly Meade.
Mary was a domestic worker and worked well into her eighties, whoever she met and said hello to it followed a long conversation of her stories of her past growing up and the people she met through her journey of her 94 years. She was a woman of faith and was a lady of strength and integrity and was loved by all who knew her, and those she penned as “baby cakes.”
Mary is survived by her sons: Patrick (Jackie), James (Paula), and Isaac Allen, and Timothy Meade; her daughters: Sheila Harvey, Luavina Anthony, Deborah Meade, and Linda Meade; a host of nieces and nephews, and multiple generations of grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Monday, October 16, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 P.M. with Reverend Dr. J Anthony Josey
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
