Mary Price Rast
August 22, 1930 – May 11, 2026 (Age 95)
Mary Price Rast passed away peacefully Monday, May 11, 2026. Born August 22,1930 in Pitcairn, PA. She was the daughter of the late George E. Price and Curtis Estelle Price. Mary moved to Charlotte with her husband and family in 1966. In addition to raising her family she worked as an Administrative Assistant at Wachovia Bank for many years. Her Christian faith was the cornerstone of her life and she loved her Lord, family and church members.
Mary is survived by her three children – William M. (Monty) Rast, III (Dawne), Rhonda R. Beck (Michael) and Robert Shane Rast; two grandchildren Hunter Rast and Kaitlyn Rast; and step grandson, Zachary Clouse. addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years William (Bill) Rast, Jr. and her brother George Price.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 14th at 12 PM in the Chapel of Tribute & Tallent Funeral Service, 1937 N. Sharon Amity Road, Charlotte, NC 28205. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service.
The family would like to express their sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the Nurses, CNA’s and all the staff members at Givens Aldersgate for their exemplary and loving care. Mary had been a resident since 2018.
