Mary Rose

Mary (Madonna) Rose of Greensburg, PA passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Monday, April 10, 2023. She was born July 22, 1932, to Alfonso and Pasqua (Mastroppolito) Madonna in Lama dei Peligni, Italy. She is preceded in death by her husband, Angelo E. Rose and infant son, David and her brother, Frank Madonna.

Mary had a love of baking and sewing and was a seamstress by trade. She was always happiest baking biscotti, pizzelles, homemade pasta, her famous chiffon cake, and many more Italian delicacies. She was especially proud of her family and the values she instilled in them. She was a member of the Cercemaggiore Association as well as The Our Lady of Grace Church.

Left to Cherish her memory are her two daughters, Angela Rose O’Brien (Tom), Donna Rose-Demilio (Dave), her grandchildren Maria Bush (Jason), Jennifer O’Brien (Julie), Michael, Matthew (Gabriella), and Marc Demilio. Her three beloved great-grandchildren, Anthony, Brandon, and Isabella Bush. Additionally, she is survived by a brother, Joseph Madonna.

Friends will be received from 3 to 7 PM Friday, April 14, 2023, at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Saturday, April 15, 2023, in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg. Please go directly to the church. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
